We are seeking a meticulous, sharp-eyed, and quality-driven Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will be the final gatekeeper of our software quality, responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure that our applications are robust, reliable, and user-friendly. Whether you are performing manual functional testing, writing automated test scripts, or investigating complex bugs, your work will be critical in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy: Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Execution of Testing: Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, smoke, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify defects.
Defect Tracking & Management: Log, document, and track bugs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Jira). Work closely with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure successful resolution.
Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for recurring test suites to increase testing efficiency and coverage across releases.
Environment & Data Management: Prepare and maintain test environments and test data sets to ensure testing covers diverse user scenarios and edge cases.
Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing testing metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and suggesting ways to optimize the QA process and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between the development and business teams, providing clear feedback on software quality and ensuring that features meet business requirements before production release.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in software testing (QA/QC). Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and bug-tracking workflows.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of testing methodologies (Black-box, White-box, Regression, Exploratory).
Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr) and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright).
Basic ability to query databases (SQL) and understand API testing (using tools like Postman).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git) is a plus.
