We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and relationship-focused Market Development Specialist (Nhân viên phát triển thị trường) to join our sales team, specifically targeting the traditional grocery store (tạp hoá) sector. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for expanding our retail footprint, building strong partnerships with shop owners, and driving sales growth across your assigned territory. Whether you are identifying new potential outlets, negotiating shelf space, or implementing trade marketing initiatives, your ability to build trust and deliver value to local merchants is critical. Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion: Proactively scout, qualify, and onboard new grocery stores (tạp hoá) within the assigned territory to increase the company’s distribution coverage.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with shop owners and managers. Serve as the primary point of contact to address their needs, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales & Merchandising: Drive product sell-in and sell-through. Ensure products are prominently displayed, manage stock levels, and implement visual merchandising standards to maximize product visibility and turnover.
Trade Marketing Implementation: Execute company promotional programs, set up Point-of-Sale (POS) materials, and inform store owners about new products or seasonal campaigns.
Data Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of market visits, sales performance, competitor activities (e.g., pricing, new promotions), and inventory levels using our mobile reporting tools.
Market Intelligence: Collect and share insights regarding competitor tactics, consumer trends, and local market feedback to help the management team refine sales strategies.
Target Achievement: Take ownership of sales targets and KPIs (e.g., number of new outlets, order frequency, average basket size), striving to consistently meet and exceed performance goals.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in field sales, trade marketing, or FMCG distribution is highly preferred. Must be comfortable spending the majority of your workday visiting clients in the field.
Technical Skills:
Basic proficiency in using mobile applications for sales reporting and inventory management.
Ability to calculate basic sales margins, discounts, and inventory turnover.
Familiarity with local geographical areas and the traditional trade landscape.
