Formulating the yearly sales strategy and regular updates as required with the Senior Management / Director of Sales and Marketing / Area Operations Manager.
Working with the marketing team to form a sales plan that is strategically supported by the marketing effort.
Working with the revenue team to design rate plans and advertising special promotional rates to increase bookings over need periods, and maximizing rates over high seasons.
Analyzing current client base or target markets for the hotels.
Leads the sales team in daily implementation of the sales strategy.
Overseeing room sales department and ensure implementation of sales operational processes and procedures.
Monitoring leads and contacts gathered by the Sales Executives.
Maintaining proper servicing of accounts.
Networking with special event planners to encourage hotel bookings.
Maintaining positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat and recurring business.
Devising new ways to expand the client base.
Managing the growth of current database of bookers, decision makers and guests who book through the sales department.
Overcoming hesitations of clients to close a sale.
Overseeing distribution of marketing materials.
Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints regarding sales.
Ensuring Sales Team follow up payment of accounts with corporate clients who have payment terms.
Performing administrative functions such as the preparation of reports on current and future group bookings, organization and filing of transactional documents; monitoring sales target achievement of sales executives; submission of proposals and contracts; and overall management of accounts.
Conducting field calls to clients to identify potential business.
Initiating telemarketing and sales blitz efforts and monitor and report on progress.
Ensuring awareness of current market conditions and efforts of competitive set and any new entrants.
Strategizing and innovating market intelligence and competitive information through marketing research and competition check.
Attending to all events which maximize sales opportunities such as travel and trade shows and sales blitz.
Managing relationship with the key accounts.
Assuming responsibility in maintaining the relationship with key decision makers.
Meeting with representatives from companies to explain the hotels merits and amenities.
Other Responsibilities
Understanding and ensuring continued update and implementation of the relevant policies, procedures and service delivery standards of the sales department
Understanding and ensuring continued update and implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and code of discipline; while promoting management, team and cross department support, leadership, professionalism and good relations.
Maintaining and promoting communication efficiency for general and work specific information, conduct of regular meetings and / or discussions on work activities, service delivery, and continuing work system improvement.
Monitoring the activities of the sales executives and coordinators while providing training and coaching in implementing effective reservation procedures; monitoring and evaluating team members performance to improve productivity and efficiency.
Performing other related duties and functions assigned by the DOSM and DOS.
Yêu cầu
Proven performance record of at least 5 years working in hospitality operations, with 3 years as a Senior sales manager or equivalent in a dynamic hotel, international assignments and pre-opening experience is a plus.
Bachelors degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality management, business management, marketing, or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, other languages a plus.
Strong leadership skills; good at coaching and empowering others.
Achieving business results and showcasing analytical thinking, concern for order and quality, customer service orientation and managing organizational resources; demonstrates high-level planning, organizing and coordinating, problem solving and judgment.
Strong in interpersonal relationships and conflict management, guest/client development, impact and influencing; active listening, understanding and responding to feedback and requests; is service-oriented and demonstrations teamwork and cooperation.
Ability to think critically, offer solutions, anticipate problems and provide action plan formulation and provide high level of attention to detail.
Embraces team and system diversities, organizational and team interrelationships at multiple levels.
Computer literacy, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Hotel operations systems and POS.
Managerial, numeracy, reporting, decision-making, problem solving.
