We are seeking a sharp, proactive, and technically astute Cybersecurity Specialist to fortify our organization's digital perimeter. In this role, you will be the first line of defense, responsible for identifying, analyzing, and neutralizing sophisticated cyber threats before they impact our operations. Key Responsibilities
Threat Detection & Monitoring: Utilize SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms to monitor network traffic and system logs, identifying and investigating potential security anomalies in real-time.
Incident Management: Lead the containment, investigation, and recovery efforts during security breaches. Conduct forensic analysis to determine the root cause and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Vulnerability Management: Perform periodic risk assessments and penetration testing on internal and external-facing systems. Prioritize and oversee the remediation of software and hardware vulnerabilities.
Security Hardening: Configure, deploy, and maintain security technologies, including firewalls, endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems, data loss prevention (DLP) tools, and identity management solutions.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all digital infrastructure meets industry security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and internal security policies through continuous auditing and improvement of controls.
Security Automation: Leverage scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to automate routine security tasks, incident response workflows, and report generation to increase operational efficiency.
Security Culture: Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to internal teams on secure coding practices and promoting a security-first culture across the organization.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in a security operation center (SOC), network security, or equivalent technical role. Strong familiarity with enterprise network architectures and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and common attack vectors (DDoS, Phishing, SQL Injection, etc.).
Proficiency in administering and securing Windows, Linux, and cloud-native environments.
Relevant industry certifications are highly preferred (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GCIH, or OSCP).
Ability to interpret log data and translate technical threats into actionable business insights.
